Hello and welcome to my blog. I am the owner of Cat Flap Fever Industries. I created a cat door window insert when I was caring for a cat living outside in Chicago. I had initially left the windows open for her to come and go, but the temperatures were dropping quickly, so I needed another option. My second idea was to lock her inside. Short story: she destroyed the room. That's when I created my first problem-solving cat door window insert. The abandoned, sweet cat became Nikki, an adored family member who spent 90% of her time inside the house looking for a lap to lay on. She inspired our first door and continues to be an inspiration after crossing the rainbow bridge. I'm so glad we found each other, Nikki. Thank you for coming into my life.

My business went from selling a few doors on eBay to building a website and selling them online, across the country. I began building the doors in my garage and eventually moved into a workshop in Roswell, Georgia. I'm passionate about all animals. I feel so lucky to own a business that gives me the opportunity to not only provide a solution to others taking care of "outdoor" cats but also to be in a position to donate to animal rescue and welfare here and around the world with a portion of my proceeds.
